About Me

My love for dogs really grew from my own two, Wilfred and Beau.
Wilfred, our Jug, came into our lives on Christmas Day — our first Christmas after losing a much-loved family member. He brought comfort, companionship and a real sense of joy when we needed it most, and he’s been at the heart of our family ever since.

Beau, my French Bulldog, came along later and brought a very different journey. As a puppy, she was diagnosed with IVDD, which meant her early training didn’t quite go to plan. After her operation, I spent months supporting her recovery at home, working on physio and helping her gradually rebuild her strength and confidence.

During this time, I began using enclosed fields so Beau could still enjoy exercise safely. She’s always loved being around other dogs, but while she was healing it was important she had the space to run freely without the risk of rough play or accidental knocks. These secure environments gave her the freedom to enjoy herself safely — and gave me complete peace of mind.
That experience really shaped how I approach dog walking today. I understand that every dog is different, and some need a little extra care, patience, or simply the right environment to feel comfortable and confident.

At 4 Paws & a Path, my focus is always on providing a safe, reliable and caring service, tailored to each dog’s individual needs — just as I would want for my own dogs.
